[See information on the 2010 Healthcare Interpreting Conference]

In July 2009, more than 180 healthcare leaders, advocates, funders, regulators and interpreters met in Oakland, California to discuss "Best Practices" in the rapidly-evolving field of healthcare interpreting.

The conference was sponsored by Health Care Interpreter Network, Kaiser Permanente, California HealthCare Foundation, California Hospital Association, National Association of Public Hospitals and Health Systems, and the California Association of Public Hospitals and Health Systems/California Health Care Safety Net Institute.

The next conference, co-sponsored by California Healthcare Interpreting Association, will take place in Orange County, California in March 18, 19 and 20, 2010.

Many of the speakers and panelists at the "Best Practices" conference presented slides along with their remarks. Please use the links below to download these slide presentations (most require PowerPoint).
