“In my career this is one of the single best steps we have taken to improve the quality of our patient services.”
Our interpreters are trained for health care
The interpreters on the network are considered to be among the best in the industry. HCIN interpreters have all completed at least a 40-hour course that includes all of the standards outlined in Senate Bill 853 and those identified in The Joint Commission standard. They each pass a test that has been independently evaluated by a third party.
Beverly Treumann, Program and Quality Assurance Director, is a respected interpreter, trainer, and past president of the California Healthcare Interpreting Association. She works with member hospitals to guarantee consistent service quality and promote professional development. Her robust program of interpreter continuing education covers unique challenges such as behavioral health interpreting and interpreting for end-of-life care.
When your hospital or health system joins HCIN, you will enjoy the confidence of knowing your providers and patients are receiving top-quality interpreting—whether the interpreter is in-house or providing service over the network.
